This position is a Salesforce Administrator for the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. This position assists in the administration, implementation, performance, and ongoing development of our Salesforce database and applications, ensuring its optimal performance and alignment with business objectives. Additionally, this position supports the organization with technical consultation in collaboration with end-users and external technology vendors and analyzes and implements new features.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the configuration and customization of Salesforce to meet business requirements.
- Manage user accounts, profiles, roles, and permissions.
- Perform data imports, exports, and updates using data management tools.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights.
- Provide systems training, guided documentation, consultation, and technical support to end-users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
- Automate processes to increase productivity.
- Create and maintain documentation related to software system administration, processes, and procedures.
- Periodically work with contracted Salesforce Architects and Developers to design and develop major solutions.
- Monitor new software features and functionality of Salesforce releases and make recommendations for process improvement.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Working knowledge of CRM database systems, development/administration concepts, security, and best practices.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining Salesforce flows.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce sharing rules and permission sets.
- Strong attention to detail and system documentation practices.
- Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with all stakeholders.
- Ability and desire to quickly learn new technologies.
- Self-directed, highly organized with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Knowledge in data cleansing and transformation, importing and exporting, querying, reporting, and analysis.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Salesforce.com or other CRM platforms.
- 2 - 5 years of demonstrated experience as a Salesforce administrator
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Salesforce.com Administrator certification is a plus.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Should possess a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from an accredited four-year college or university; at least three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must have the ability to communicate with all levels of an organization; Fluency in English
REASONING ABILITY:
Must have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
The physical demands are sitting for a significant portion of the workday. This role involves frequent use of a keyboard, mouse, and operating a computer and peripherals. This role may require occasional lifting and/or moving objects up to 25 pounds. The typical work environment is a standard office setting, which can be either in a traditional office space, or a hybrid blend of office and remote work.
